The panel discussion titled "Driving Sustainable Finance: Collaborative Insights from Qatari, German and International Experts" aims to explore the growing importance of sustainable finance in the global economy, with a particular focus on Qatar’s emerging role in fostering financial systems that support environmental and climate goals. As both Qatar and Germany are working towards more sustainable economies, this panel will highlight best practices, opportunities for collaboration, and the latest trends in sustainable finance. This event will bring together leading experts to share their perspectives on policy frameworks, investment strategies, and the role of innovative financial instruments and financial institutions in driving sustainable development. By sharing knowledge, approaches and thoughts about sustainable finance, the event will foster enhanced understanding of the financial tools and strategies that can support the transition to sustainable economies and greater cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two countries, which are both committed to achieving climate and sustainability goals in the context of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. The Climate Talks are a tool, initiated by the German Federal Foreign Office and designed for the German embassies abroad, to partner with local entities to provide a platform for cooperation, exchange and dialogue to discuss urgent topics in the area of climate change.
