EUDEL Hosts Ramadan Suhour for Media in Qatar

The European Union Delegation to the State of Qatar hosted a special Suhour gathering at the EU Residence on 18 March, bringing together prominent members of the Qatari media community to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan in a spirit of unity, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

The event, hosted by H.E. Dr. Cristian Tudor, EU Ambassador to Qatar, underscored the EU Delegation’s commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with Qatar’s media professionals and strengthening cross-cultural understanding between Europe and the Arab world.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity, and togetherness. It is also an opportunity to build bridges between cultures and strengthen partnerships through dialogue,” said Ambassador Tudor. “The EU Delegation is honoured to engage with Qatar’s vibrant media sector, recognizing its essential role in shaping narratives and fostering connections between our societies.”

This initiative aligns with the EU Delegation’s broader efforts to enhance cultural and community engagement in Qatar. Earlier this year, the Delegation organized the (eunited) Ride for Wellness, a cycling event in partnership with EU Member State embassies to celebrate Qatar National Sports Day. The event brought together participants to promote wellness, health, sustainability, and community spirit, reflecting the EU’s shared values with Qatar.

The Suhour gathering provided a warm and inclusive space for discussions on shared interests, media collaboration, and cultural dialogue. The EU Delegation remains committed to fostering mutual understanding through social, cultural, and public diplomacy initiatives, reinforcing the deepening ties between the EU and Qatar.
