ABOUT THE EVENT

The Helmut Veith Stipend is awarded annually to exceptionally talented and motivated female students in computer science who are pursuing (or planning to pursue) one of the English-taught master’s programmes in Computer Science at Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien). The stipend includes: • €7,000 annually (for up to 2 years) • Full tuition fee waiver • The opportunity to study at one of Europe’s leading universities in technology and innovation Eligibility • Applicants must be eligible for admission to one of the English-taught master’s programmes in computer science at TU Wien (for details, see link in Linktree/bio) • Female students holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics • Strong mathematical and technical background in at least one of the following research areas: o Logic in Computer Science o Formal Methods & Verification o Foundations of Artificial Intelligence o Algorithms & Complexity Theory o Computer Security • Proficiency in English Start dates & deadline • Start of studies: Summer semester 2026 or Winter semester 2026/27 • Application deadline: 30 November 2025 The stipend honours the legacy of Helmut Veith (1971–2016), an outstanding Austrian computer scientist and a passionate advocate for women in technology.
